What makes up the cost of filing a lawsuit?

Calculation, October 30, 2026, 4 min read

The amount paid when filing a lawsuit is not a single fee. It is the sum of several items, and each is calculated separately.

The application fee is a fixed fee charged when the case is filed. The advance decision fee, for claims for a sum of money, is one quarter of the proportional fee; the proportional fee is calculated at 68.31 per thousand. The expense advance is deposited for service of notice and other expenses, depending on the number of parties.

If a lawyer files the case, a power of attorney fee and a bar association power of attorney stamp are added. Consumer courts charge no court fee, but the expense advance is still deposited.

Our calculators show these items one by one with the 2026 tariff. Amounts change every year; the exact figure is set by the court registry of the court handling the file. The tool is for a quick estimate before you decide.
